There are few things that will draw as much attention on a trade show flow as a big-a** flat panel television, and that’s just what Sharp did this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with their whopping 108″ LCD TV.

This is the world’s largest LCD to date, and the application of this television is not completely clear to us (aside from the undeniable wow-factor). Not to offend your world perspective skills, but a 6-foot person equates to only 72″, so this television will take up some space in your living room, and probably give the weight of your car a run for its money.

Sharp is planning on making the 108″ LCD available to ship sometime towards the middle of this year, and when asked who the target consumer was, a Sharp official simply replied “I’m sure we’ll find somebody…”, according to Gizmodo. No word yet on the estimated price tag.
