Samsung YP-K3 Music Player Like K5 without the speakersSamsung has come out officially with the YP-K3 MP3 player at CES in Las Vegas this week.

The player is the younger sibling to the Samsung K5 player without the speaker attached to its back. This little MP3 player is a mere .27 inches thick with the same features as the K5, along with a battery that lets it run for 20 hours. That’s a little less than the 30 hours of music that comes with the K5, but the speaker brought it down to only 6. The new K3 also has a carrying case accessory available with a speaker built in if you still feel the need to share your music with others and drain your battery.

The YP-K3 supports JPEG’s which are viewable through the 1.8″ OLED display, and plays MP3 and WMA files with support for PlayForSure. Like its older sibling the K3 has a built-in FM tuner, too. The controls are a smooth looking touchscreen type and the display provides some clean looking graphics when navigating the controls.

Samsung plans on making the K3 MP3 player available in March of this year, shipping in capacities of 2G ($119), 4G ($159) and 8GB ($209).
