Hydrocoach intellegent water bottleThe Hydrocoach water bottle is a new gadget designed to calculate the recommended hydration for an individual and measure their amount of consumption throughout the day.

Not only will the electronic water bottle measure your fluid intake, but based on your hydration goals the HydraCoach will monitor your progress providing additional motivation to meet hydration goals. The intelligent water bottle has a small integrated computer and visual interface which calculates the recommended daily hydration by individual parameters, monitors total fluid consumption and average amount consumed per hour, displays elapsed time and what percentage of you goals have been met.

“When it comes to overall health, achieving proper hydration is one of the most difficult goals to accomplish. It’s easy to set a daily hydration goal, but pacing oneself to achieve that goal is not so easy – nor is tracking one’s progress throughout the day,” said Brian Anderson, president of Sportline. “Since introducing HydraCoach, it has become clear just how relevant this product is to so many different types of consumers. From fitness and outdoor enthusiasts and athletes to aging adults to individuals trying to lose weight, we have been inundated by emails and calls from people who can’t wait to try the new HydraCoach Intelligent Water Bottle.”

The HyraCoach comes in colors of blue, orange and smoke gray and retails for $29.99. The company also has plans to incorporate the water consumption management gadget into a hydration pack in the near future, allowing the same fluid consumption management capabilities with a larger capacity of water. I wonder if they will add a feature to tell you when you have consumed too much fluid?
