Absolutely pathetic. I can’t believe that these morons are trying to blame a computer console manufacturer for their own blatant stupidity!

Christ people, use a bit of f***ing common sense!

The strap is for accidents. The Wii remote flying out of your hand is supposed to be a rare occurrence, not commonplace. Amazingly enough, if you close your hand around something, it won’t actually go anywhere unless you open your hand again.

And like a few other people have mentioned already, you don’t need to use excessive force with the Wii remotes. In fact, excessive force will render the movement sensor inside the Wii useless.

All the Wii stuff is plastered with warnings, so if you don’t read it and heed it, it’s your own bloody fault if you hurt yourself!

Gah! Idiots make me so angry!

Okay, I just bought a Wii for my son for X-mas and I found this page while surfing to buy another remote. I must say I thought this was a joke site at first. Through further observation I see this is a real site. I would like to know if anyone has thought of renaming this site to “WiiTARDS” And their injuries sustained.

In my defense for all wii lovers or anyone who loves the wii.. You guys should really be careful with this kind of technology. Sure it’s fun and all but safety first …And no one here is retarded, everyone just gets into the game they think they are going to have fun with or without the strap. All you gotta do is step away from tv stay away from items that are easily broken and thats it.. Sure, my first time with the wii was horrible”I hit myself in the private O.o” but that doesnt mean im retarded or anything like that it just means i was less careful with what i was doing and for that i should be aware more of what is around me and how it can affect me.

I have to say that I am a 42 year old mother and I purchased the Wii as a Christmas gift for my family this year well I’ve used it about a half a dozen times myself and since I’ve started playing this system I’ve had some lower neck pain. I know Im doing everything right Im not over doing it or going crazy with it but I still have quite a bit of lower neck pain so Im gonna give it a rest for a little bit maybe Im just too old to play the Wii. I do belive these people did get injured playing the Wii but I think it’s because they were being careless. To all you gamers out there “PLAY” but stay safe.

I think the adults were being careless, and I think they deserved what happened to them.

Leave the video games to the people who DON’T abuse them

Wow. Whoever can get hurt THAT badly from a plastic toy must try really hard! Personally i think some people on this page got hit by a car instead of a wii remote, seriously people take some advice and at least get some pictures that LOOK like wii injuries.

The only way you could possibly get hurt while playing a Wii is if you got really angry or excited at the game and started freaking out, oblivious to everything around you. These people with the injuries have them because they refused to follow the safety precautions on both the Wii booklet AND the title screen, making it their own fault.

Are these people stupid or something? I have owned a Wii for 17 months now and neither myself nor any member of my family have ever lost their grip on the Wii remote or hit anyone with it. We dont even wear the wrist strap because we feel that it is in the way. Even my 3 year old daughter can use it without letting it go.
