IRiver S7 - Easy Play and Joy

IRiver S7 Digital Audio PlayerOne of the latest editions to to the IRiver DAP lineup for Korea is the IRiver S7. Some rumors have been floating that it might not be real, but you can find it now on the Korean IRiver site. The S7 comes in colors of brown or brown, and has 1GB of storage with 9 hours of playback time, and supports file types of MP3, ASF, OGG, and WMA.

The most interesting part of this player is the face with the controls. On the top of the face there is something that looks a lot like a goat with some sort of headdress, and a dog lifting it’s back leg on the bottom. On the left and right there are some dudes that look like they might be running away from each other.

Since the Korean site is written in the Korean language, most of the words are images so they cannot be translated with a tool and our in-house Korean translator is on vacation, we had to make some guesses. The fancy goat and dog-sans fire hydrant are possibly volume controls, and the two running men are forward and back. The middle might toggle for stop and play? There are also some buttons on the side which look like power and play mode to switch to the built in FM Tuner that must be navigated somehow as well. There are a number of skins shown on the site that you can put over the buttons, like coffee, some clouds and even a sliver version of the animal-man combination.

THe IRiver S7 is retailing for 89,000 won, which converts to about $96 USD.
