Nothing really beats pen and paper when it comes to taking notes or sketching out ideas. Now you can digitize all of your brilliant ideas for later editing and filing on your PC. The Digimemo A402 allows you to digitally capture and store anything you write on ordinary A4 paper. Capture your notes, ideas, sketches, drawings and flowcharts – without any scanning.
The ultra-thin device is very portable and feels much like a regular clipboard when held in your hand. Any ordinary paper or notepad up to A4 size (8.27″ x 11.81″) can be used. The digital pen uses a replaceable ink cartridge and gives you the natural feel of a ballpoint pen on paper.
Once downloaded to your PC via USB, you can edit your notes in real-time using the Digimemo Manager software. This application allows you to easily view, edit and organize your digital pages. The software also converts your handwritten notes into digital text for further use in applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook or Lotus Notes. Handwriting, shapes, tables and diagrams can be converted into print to be further processed in Microsoft Word.
You can manage up to 999 digital pages and write continuously for 100 hours with four AAA batteries – not bad for a day of brainstorming.
The Digimemo A402 is available from Selwyn Electronics for $200.
