Mighty Mini MoGo Mouse

MoGo MouseInnovation like this are great to see, and this one really caught my eye. At first glance I had no clue what it was, but soon learned that I was looking at wireless notebook mouse, the MoGo Mouse to be specific. The functionality of the MoGo mouse is not necessarily what makes this so cool for me, although they did pack all the functionality of a wireless Bluetooth mouse into a very small flat design.

The thing that makes this notebook mouse unique is that it happens to be the exact size of a PC card, and the MoGo Mouse happens to fit into a standard notebook PC card slot for storage. No mouse laying around in your laptop bag…cool. Also, no batteries that need replacing…way cool! While this mouse happens to be in the PC card slot, the PC just happens to charge it up when the PC is powered up, which means the wireless mouse won’t charge when the PC is not powered up, and that is more than likely when you will need it. A little bit of a “catch-22″, but nonetheless a pretty cool device.

I bought this mouse about 2 weeks ago from a vendor on eBay. My Mogo Mouse was brand new in the package never opened.

I can not get the thing to charge. The MM plugs into my type II card slot and lights up, yet it doesn’t seem to hold a charge. When I take the card out and flip the kickstand it won’t turn on. No lights, nothing.

I’ve tried contacting the company’s tech help both via email and by phone. It’s like no one answering emails or the phones at this company. I haven’t been able to get any help w/ my MM issue in 2 weeks of trying.

    So,
    Company’s Support: F
    Mogo Mouse functionality: F
    Cool Factor: A
    Usefullness: Currently an F

Overall I found this mouse to be a piece of $49 junk. I should have got a real mouse.

Unfortunately, I must agree with eR1c

I had a PCMCIA MOGO mouse, changed computers, and had to purchases their X54 mouse. It is not working and there is no support available. The company, Newton Peripherals, simply does not respond to email or phone requests.

Great product, but I can no longer recommend anyone purchase it. For example, it comes with a 2 year warranty, but with a completely unresponsive company after 1 week of ownership, what are the chances that the warranty would ever be honored?
